Noise, Vibration & Harshness Certificate

The Certificate in Automotive Noise, Vibration and Harshness (CNVH) uses an innovative case study approach to enhance critical thinking skills while relating NVH issues to design, manufacturing, material, performance, and economic considerations. Concepts of mechanical vibrations, acoustics, digital signal processing, and machinery dynamics are integrated into a cohesive course sequence and specialized one-year certificate program.

Certificate Overview

The NVH certificate consists of two graduate credit courses and two non-credit seminars that can be completed in one academic year (August-May). However, students have the option of completing the certificate requirements in two years to accommodate work schedules. A prep seminars also is available to review math concepts and software used in the two graduate-level credit courses:

ME7263 NVH II

In addition, two non-credit seminars must be completed from the following options:
Driveline Systems
Mid-Frequency Vibration Isolation
Rubber Mounts
Special Topics in NVH
